Tree Pose with Shadows

I suppose by having two parts in the title, I'm in danger of diluting my message and weakening the image. However, that's what struck me when I saw the tree set back in the woods, it's shape in contrast to those around it which are predominantly straight. The shadows were a secondary feature, making lines running in slight diagonals, describing the terrain.

The tree's gesture reminded me of a tree pose in yoga, difficult for a man with inflexible knees, hence the title.

Wonderful light, but the tail end of the Vortex only allowed a high of -7F. At least the weekend will be warmer.
