Crisp

We started the day considering different options for the flat - measuring up and trying to work out the key changes to make....
Then headed to Dalkeith Country Park. Never been before but it was lovely, not least because it was such beautiful crisp cold sunny weather. We wandered around the shop and had a nice breakfast in the rather lovely cafe then headed off for one of the trails through the woods. We had a good walk despite getting pretty lost, continuing the talk about plans for my flat and S's house/retirement. Popped back to the cafe for tea and shortbread before heading back to the city and had a walk around the shops to try and find a nice pencil case for S's new calligraphy pens. No luck - and bizarrely every shop looked at us as if we were asking for something ridiculous when we asked (including the pen shop!)
Home for a drink before trying out Sonder - a newish restaurant near the flat - for dinner. Tasty.
