2019 Wednesday — Madonna Inn

This photo is of the event center at the famous Madonna Inn in San Luis Obispo. We had driven into SLO today to cruise through several thrift stores (Fred & Betty’s; the hospice store; and the Assistance League). I thoroughly enjoy “thrifting.” I look for kitchen stuff, furniture stuff, clothing, knick-knacks, and just whatever.

Today, Mr. Fun had more “finds” than I did. He wanted some pants/slacks that are “cargo” pants, with all the pockets on the legs to carry a cellphone and dog (poop) bags and etc.

The real reason we went into SLO is because I had “Kohl’s Cash ” from shopping at Kohl’s a week ago (when I needed to purchase some clothes to go to church last Sunday) clothes that would be a little more dressy than the slob I can be from day-to-day here at the coast. The doctor’s wife, Karen, across our street, told me sometime ago that I basically needed two outfits to live in Cayucos. I think she’s right.

So after “thrifting,” we headed to Kohl’s. Mr.Fun cashed in big time because he did all his shopping on the clearance rack. He purchased more than a several things (4 pairs of short pants—all cargo style) and with the $20 in Kohl’s Cash that I had, he owed $3.90. That was fun!!!

So the green hills in the photo were beautiful to view.
