No More Tension!
Thank you for your kind comments yesterday after loosing Bear. I'm ok, just feeling a little down, but also a little relieved as those of you know know me well, knew I was feeling a bit guilty for getting another dog when I wasn't able to look after Bear. But as Bears new mummy kindly said, I did the right thing at the time for her and our circumstances have changed considerably.
Ray was sad because we knew Bear was deteriorating and he really wanted to go and see her again for the last time, but I knew that was going to be a really hard meeting so kind of put it off a bit. But now the decision has been taken away from us and I'm glad we didn't have to go through that. Her new mummy did all she could to give Bear the best possible life.
I had to work in the morning and it involved joining a family on a dog walk in Nonsuch Park. Guess what breed the dog was???
We stopped in a cafe. They sold cakes in a wrapper called 'Muddy Bear'.
In the afternoon and evening, we went to friends Retirement Party from the Police. He was a Dog Handler before joining Firearms at Gatwick. Guess what breed his dog was!!!
And look whats on the top of his cake!
While we were at the party, Daughter Number 1 and her BF Puppy Sat Bella. I asked her to call Samuel Squidget to tell him the news as I didn't want to cry on the phone while I was at the party and I couldn't tell him earlier as he was at work and that would have been mean. Sam always saw Bear as his dog.
And as Daughter Number 2 said....she was the last of their child hood animals to go. End of an era but start of a new one with Bella. And whilst new dogs never replace old dogs, it feels good and right to have another one back in our lives after having had dogs for most of my life.
Run free my Bear. Pain free for ever. xXx
