Sunday walk

Making the most of a glorious frosty morning to have a walk across the fields to the next village and back.
The photo is of the little stream which we crossed on the way.
Most of the frost had melted in the fields,but
here by the stream there were still some frosty patches.
Quite a lot of sheep grazing in the fields.
We had a chat with the farmer, and he said they had come down from Aberdeen.
Lambs born in June, and they had bought them in November so they could feed on the grass down here. He said to them it would feel like summer compared with where they came from.
Will be in the butchers in a month or two.

Had another look at the pond, which was just beginning to melt in one tiny patch.
Still no ducks to be seen.
I’m sure they will return when the rest melts.

Now back home, and it is beginning to cloud over. I think we have had best of the weather this morning for our walk.
