Memories of Peru.
Came across this riot of colour today. It's a jumper I bought in Peru, some 13 years ago when I finished hiking the Inca trail and was in a celebratory mood. It hasn't got much wear in the last few years, partly because I've been in warmer climes than the UK for a while and partly because... well it's very bright and I'm not sure that it does much for me. I looked at it today thinking that I could never be seen in this again and I'll have to add it to the charity shop pile. Then an image of sunshine in the Andes flashed into my mind and I found myself pulling it on. I was nice and warm within seconds (the Andes are cold at night), and kept it on for the rest of the day ignoring funny looks from the husband. (My 22 month old son laughed out loud!) I'm not sure that I'll actually leave the house in it, but I don't think I'll be sending this to the charity shop anytime soon - too many memories from my first real solo adventure. And I don't think anyone else would want it anyway!
The small llama isn't part of the jumper, but I thought it looked right in the photo.
