Loch Portain
6.5C dull and cloudy, Some rain on the morning, then a dry spell, then some showers later. Moderate S/SSW/SW/WSW breeze with gusts to 36 mph (mostly in the morning).
Grocery shopping.
We had heard the roads to Southend weren't good during the week so erring on the safe side we decided not to go to a beach.
Before lunch we walked Fergus round to the harbour, round the old quay, and out along the shore side of the park. We could see the pavement on the street side road was still icy, so we came back along the shore side path which was clear. We came back home along Hall Street, passing the Picture House before coming up Main Street and along Longrow.
Later Apothecary7 was painting.
BBC Radio 2 was on in the background.

Note: Boring ferry photo, but an unusual one to see stopping off here. The Loch Portain sails between Berneray and Leverburgh, and was the first to run a Sunday service to Harris. She is equipped with Schottel pump jet propulsion to allow her to navigate the shallow Sound of Harris.
