Morning Walk

Had a walk around our local area this morning and was appalled at the amount of litter and fly tipping.The road gullies full of the hedge clippings from last autumn and an old suitcase that has been at the side of the road for at least six months.Most weeks I go up and down the lane in front of the house and up to my neighbours cleaning up and my neighbour does from his house to the top of the lane but no one does the sides of the roads that run through the fields.
This child's shoe was hanging in the hedge and the tires in extras dumped on the flyover verge and have been there a very long time.
I sometimes wonder what councils are for and why we pay our council tax.We have no policing worth speaking of, the roads and drains are a disgrace, every small lane is full of rubbish from fly tipping and the few road lights we once had have been taken down.Seemingly a councils responsibilities end at the suburbs.

Watering this afternoon once the pipes had thawed out.
