We decided that driving around for three days with the car bonnet slightly open wasn't a good idea. There were several options we could think of. Not knowing if it would be easy to fix I decided on the car swap. So, at 7.40 I set off with a few bottles of water as the washers were no longer squirting at the windscreen. Only two cleaning stops were needed and the views of the Lake District hills in the morning sunshine were wonderful. Home by 9, away in 20 minutes, and back to Skipton with my car by 10.40.

After a few much needed mugs of tea we bought some sandwiches for lunch and I had a request to drive somewhere with a view to eat them. My choice is shown above.  We had a wander too.
