Light and Shade

A garden of two halves today, the shady side frozen solid, the sunny side hinting at Spring.  The sunniest day of the year so far (the solar panels don't lie) was most welcome on our return from Southampton.  A quiet sort of day but I did plant some new Achimenes.  Something to look forward to in the summer time.

A blank day yesterday.   The snow up on the higher ground around our overnight lodgings was very pretty but the icy edges on roads through the forest did not invite stopping for photos.  We took Jamie out for lunch although I suspect having access to friends on the internet was a bigger attraction :-/  Long but uneventful drive home in the evening.  I'll be back down there at the end of the week.
