the rugby was so ace! first time for me and beefy hasn’t been for 30 years.
we walked into town and got a tram to murrayfield for the gates opening at 12.30 so we had heaps of time to wander around, see the team coming off the bus and get a drink. it was cold but once everyone was in it was fine. they played great and it was so exciting, 33-20 with Italy making a bit of a comeback at the end. it had been 33-3 at one point. we stayed ‘til the bitter end watching the team do a lap of honour and the bbc studio coverage just below us with gaby roslin and the pundits. then we walked back to the centre with hundreds of other folk and found a nice bar called angels share to watch the england v ireland match. went for some seafood then walked back to the flat, knackered! such a good day - definitely doing that again.
