My Little Red

A color challenged day today... damp, dismal, dark, dull, dreary... pick one!

When I left for work early this morning a band of clouds layered the eastern sky blocking any direct sunlight. It made for a very strange effect.

My little red maple on the front lawn was lit by reflected light from the western sky making it just seem wrong. What a wonder sunlight can be, and so easily taken for granted.

Good friends and good food removed any doubt I had about what kind of day I was going to have.
