'Plaza Mayor, Bliss!'

Every time I've been in Plaza Mayor, Madrid, in the last 28 years, I've texted the above message to Thomas (here, to my left). Today, was the first time we have coincided in this magnificent (and magnificently-restored) square - it was bliss plus, plus, plus. After a great workday presenting at the leading CEU university, we adjourned here for some tapas and beers. Later, after popping in to see a still-recovering Dd, we wandered around the Malasana area stopping here and there in the most authentic bars you can imagine for some local vermut, as the fancy took us.
