Monday on Maple, Maleny

A few showers today - not a lot of rain, but it's a start.

I nipped into Maleny (5 mins drive from home) for a few bits and bobs. It's a quaint, friendly place where almost everyone knows everyone else - except at weekends when tourists come to enjoy the ambience and the award winning ice cream from Colin James (front right), a meal and live music at the Upfront Club or organic fare from the Co-op.

Today was all locals. One great thing about this place is that people slow down to chat, chill and enjoy coffee and snacks. I chose this blip as it sums up that laid-back atmosphere.
