Chased in the Mist

Another day of temps in the mid 40sF combined with rain gave us mist or fog, I'm not sure of the distinction. Regardless, of the many shots of trees in mist I took today, I liked this group the best.

With the gap between them, it seems like the smaller one on the left is being chased by the pack on the right, their branches bending over and reaching out trying to grab at it. Are they attempting to overpower their smaller neighbour, or save it from demise? Not sure.
