Resorted to painting from photo today

One of our number thought it was a self-portrait! You would have thought it necessary to have some level of eyesight to go to an art class. Perhaps my aura as a hero of a Soviet Republic dominates the actuality of my less than impressive physical presence.

Update on the blackbird's corpse. It is still in place. Photographing nature is a time-consuming business that demands patience.
