Lighting up and down time

Yes it looks nice sideways...

It's time to do the Xmas tree
This is the very night
So we untangle Xmas stuff
And find the Xmas lights

A miracle. Plugged in, they work
We drape them round the tree
We cover it with baubles
Stand back our work to see

We just adjust it here and there
We do the best we can
It's all a bit haphazard
With no aesthetic plan

The Xmas bird is pinned on top
The trinklements all look fine
But then we plug the lights back in
And they refuse to shine...

But now we've found another set
Don't know where they were lurking
And we won't touch or fiddle
Now that we've got them working.
