Manchester Flick Chic

Hey yunga Ho yunga Hey yung yung

B got up just before dawn and went to the avenue of trees in Alex Park thinking he would get there before the tree fellers started work. I'm chuffed to say they weren't there and it had been called off (as Manchester Council had promised) but instead B found two people skipping and wrapping red wool around the trees as they chanted. The daughter of one of them looked on in a rather mortified fashion. Here are the protection charms (from two completely different tribes/religions) they were chanting. They do have my greatest respect for getting out there at 6:30am on a freezing December morning!
