One stayed, one fled.

Two roos were grazing in a horse paddock this evening on Greenhills Rd. I took several shots, taking slow steps through the undergrowth to get closer to the fence. Of course the dry grass and twigs crunched. As I was about to get my closest shot the male roo bolted. Quite fortuitous, really, as you can appreciate the power of his body as he lunged forward and quickly put distance between us. The female didn't budge even though I stayed at the fence for some minutes.? Questions....Was she braver? Or inexperienced with humans? Did he have a better survival instinct? Or was he just a tad jumpy? Never mind, low light notwithstanding, its a blip.
