Wide Wednesday challenge
The theme for today is Tradition ( a church, public building or festival). This is Holy Trinity Church Kelso. It dates from 1835 and was the first church consecrated west of the Blue Mountains in NSW, Australia. Charles Darwin visited soon after the building was completed and stated “There is a hideous little red brick Church standing by itself on a hill”. Well Mr Darwin, I disagree. I think it’s rather charming. Another interesting bit of information is that when it was built it was in the Diocese of Calcutta ( India) which was the closest...(8982 km away).
Thanks to steveng for hosting this month.
Extra is my lunch...two double yolkers.
