The shade...

An emergency Blip if ever there was one! A light shade. It doesn't look this dramatic in real life, but that's the way the camera saw it, and I quite like it like this, especially the jaunty angle.

A Blip at what seems like a very long day. There's no escaping the MESS in the flat - dust, all sorts of tools and equipment put haphazardly in every single room, and the hallway resembles a slalom course. And progress on the living room has been very slow! Trying to stay calm, but it's beginning to get to me...

When MrM and Jake disappeared for a couple of hours this afternoon to buy insulation material and to borrow a tool from a friend, I escaped in to the 'yard and planted out some pansies that should have been put in to the containers months ago, but it didn't seem right to remove the summer bedding plants that were still flowering happily then . A few more to do later in the week hopefully.

In to Alnwick with MrM this evening - he needed to fetch yet another tool, so I went with him to buy some paint that's on offer at present. And to escape the mess...
