Dubai

A day trip to Dubai. I popped in past P+W and had a coffee. Then off to the Saudi consulate. To my great relief my visa application was accepted and I will get my passport back in the next few days. At the same time C's residency visa has been approved. Then I went in past RMJM for a coffee on my way back home.

Meanwhile in Abu Dhabi, Pope Francis became the first Catholic Pope to visit the Arabian Peninsula. He gave mass to around 150,000 people along with the Grand Imam Ahmed Al Tayeb. Earlier they signed foundation stones for a new church and mosque in celebration of interfaith relations, which heralds a new dawn in relations between two of the world’s great faiths.
