BLYTH'S REED WARBLER, MANCHESTER
On the second time of trying we saw the Blyth's Reed Warbler*, and later on, the Iceland Gull a few miles deeper into Manchester**.
I got a bad case of Twitcher's Knee and had to walk back to the car by swinging my left leg out to the side as bending it was a noisy affair. It creaking and me screaming. Climbing into Horatio was far more difficult than just collapsing into Patsy Bluebell too, especially wearing wellies.
A good birding day though.
* I must remember to look for "the short primaries" in future rather than just go by the bird's colour. Bad birding.
** More police sirens than at the Warbler's location and a circling Police helicopter.
Extras: Iceland Gull and Waiting.
