Brabin's Almshouses...

... Chipping...
It's traditional to meet up with friends on birthdays - so we are currently on tour in the NW, visiting and eating out with various friends. John in Chipping was the first port of call - hence the shot of the Almshouses... The cottages opened in1684, and were endowed by John Brabin, cloth merchant. The Brabin's Trust still owns and administers the property:
To provide financial help and support to poor persons and the general community in the parishes of Chipping, Thornley with Wheatley and Leagram with Bowland. To maintain the two Almshouses and provide accommodation for poor persons of good character.
Thanks Skeena and Steveng :)
