Fab U Lous
Today was the day that I enjoyed my children's belated birthday prezzie, when my daughter and I went to see the Strictly tour live in Nottingham at the Motorpoint Arena. It was absolutely wonderful from beginning to end. The event was hosted by former Strictly winner Ore Oduba and was immense fun, spectacle and delight. (Registered about 3000 "steps" on my fitbit simply through clapping!)
We discovered judge Bruno Tonioli has a beautiful singing voice, when he sang a duet in Italian with one of the professional singers. When the troupe are on tour, audiences at each venue vote for that show's glitterball winners. If you want to know who won today's matinée you'll have to visit my Extras. Former cricketer Graeme Swan did warn little girls and their grandmas that if they voted for Joe Sugg then fairies' wings would drop off! ;-)
All the judges danced at the end, and Craig and Ore demonstrated jumping up and down on table tops while their cloths were whisked away! They're all lovely movers, but I've chosen this shot of judge (and former prima ballerina) Darcey Bussell strutting her stuff in ridiculously high heels. Oh, I could use up all 100 Extras today. It was a fabulous day!
