Puns aside, the Penny Coat Piglet was under construction as I passed it today. Half the frame is covered in “skin” as of the time I took the shot, it will look a lot plumper when finished. And it will apparently wear a coat of many pennies. Designed by Alex Rinsler, who has a track record in giant installations.

All part of Manchester’s Chinese New Year celebrations. It hardly needs saying that we are now in The Year of the Pig.

Elsewhere in the City Centre, expect Dragons.
