A vase of pink Kalencho flowers.

I was pleasantly surprised when this Kalencho plant produced beautiful pink flowers, after several years of glossy green leaves.
I used focal zoom to get the second photo, just for an experiment.
The wonders of Mother Nature are part of my quest to celebrate the beauty of creation for this journal.
When it is pouring with rain, as it was earlier, there is always something to discover indoors.
I am feeling sad today, after witnessing a poor tabby cat dying at the side of the street after being hit by a car.
The driver did not even realise the cat was injured.
The poor animal was one of several cats fed and cared for by the lady across the street. It was a cautious dear soul, and often sat on her lintel or doorstep, waiting to be fed or made a fuss of by passers by.
The loss of any animal is grievous, and it turns your thoughts to how precious life is and how suddenly things can change.
