Chrystal Macmillan
Chrystal Macmillan was a Scottish barrister, feminist and pacifist, and the first female science graduate from the University of Edinburgh as well as that institution's first female honours graduate in Mathematics.
She was quite a woman! To find out more about her here's her Wikipedia entry.
I had the pleasure of attending the annual Chrystal Macmillan lecture at the University. This year the lecture was given by Professor Ann Oakley on "The invention of gender: social facts and imagined worlds." Superb it was too!
If you have an interest and a spare hour I highly recommend taking the time to listen to the lecture, which was recorded and posted on YouTube.
