Lucky find

The sun made an appearance today, even though it was still cold. I went for a longish walk at lunchtime. I saw this bird on the marshes, I first thought It was a teal, but then realised that the colours weren't right. A bit of investigation and I found that it and it's friends were Pintails. I've not heard of them before. A bit further up and I saw another bird, that looked a bit like a mallard, but again the feather colours were wrong. This one (extra) was a Shoveller. He was quite far away so the resolution isn't great. There are some more Pintails in the extras
