The film this evening was Great Expectations. I don't get on with Dickens so I'm always happy when they do a film/TV adaptation because it saves me having to read the book. On the whole I enjoyed Great Expectations but I can't for the life of me understand what Pip saw in Estella, apart from a pretty face. Maybe that's why it's better to read the books?
