Rydal water

Thursday 7th February 2019 - LPH Day 4

When we got up someone had rubbed out the landscape and visibility was only as far as the hedge! 

The group split today and four of us went to Rydal to dodge the rain. We started at the waterfall and in the quiet garden. When it started to rain we treated ourselves to elevenses in the tearoom. We then had another hour and a half in the woods and by the river before having our lunch in the garden.

Still dodging the rain we went up to Rydal cave. Two of our group hadn't been before so it was a good place to take them. The afternoon sun didn't really materialise but at least there was a view as we left the cave. It was very windy though so we soon went back down to lakeside to finish our afternoon.

This evening was an evening off so we met with the rest of the group and walked down to the local pub for a meal.  The weather forecast for tomorrow isn't good.
