Snapped

The car fan belt. Snapped tonight in a car park. I'd no idea what was causing the display errors, beeps and heavy steering, so called the AA who were really helpful but took ages to get there. Dumped it in a garage overnight for checking. Could really do without this but so glad it happened now and not at the weekend just passed.
