7 books

I was nominated on Twitter to post one of my 7 favourite books a day for 7 days. No comment and nominate someone to take the challenge on.
I'm short of a blip today so I thought I would share number 6.
It's turned into a favourite authors thing for me as some of my favourite books have gone AWOL. I do think that this last book by Carol Shields is fantastic though. Like many of my favourites she writes really compellingly about childhood and families. This one has a heartbreaking twist at the centre of it. An author lost much too soon.
In real time I'm ploughing through The Year of the Flood by Margaret Atwood. Epic in scale, another dystopian creation. After The Road last night I'm feeling the need to care for my planet.
