Monday Appointment

Left the house at 10.10 to be sure we'd be on time for AW's appointment at 11.00 in Rosmalen, with a doctor designated by the judge to determine for the court whether or not it was a just decision of welfare to cut AW's sickness benefits way back in 2016.  AW sued and we're still at it.

The doctor was very sympathetic but also very professional, making clear to us that he had to provide the relevant answers based on his talk with AW.  It upset AW to have to talk about his problems, something he has never felt comfortable with, especially after many professionals in the past indicated that they didn't believe him when he described his various problems.  Relief when it was over.  I am glad I did the driving and that we had a good talk.  This was the second designated doctor, the first talk having taken place in Schiedam more than a year ago.  No idea how long this kind of case takes, but hopefully our patience will be rewarded with an official 'verdict' some time soon.

Didn't go to Rotterdam after we got back and just worked at home.  AW went to his Monday bridge evening and that was that.  This was shot at the doctor's clinic.  If its purpose was to make us feel a little positive, then I can say it worked.
