Out on the Lake
Yesterday's ski was a very chilly affair with hazy sun and -14°C, and we got cold! So, we dressed very carefully for today's trip. Sod's Law was in operation and the sun was so warm we ended up with shirts open and gloves and hats in our pockets!
We used the track we created yesterday so we went a little quicker, and hence a little further. In this image our trail runs alongside the left-hand edge of the sound between the two lakes. Just to our right is where the water is usually open and I think if we skied onto that ice there's a good chance we'd go through. Sometimes it's good to have local knowledge!
The extras show a snow-coated reed, Jan in action, and the beautiful blue(!) shadows cast by a yellow sun on the snow.
I've been busy, we have had visitors, and we've been out the last two evening so Blipfoto has taken a slight backseat. Tonight I post two backblips (this is no 2) and today's blip. Tomorrow I'll try to catch up with your blips!
