Storm surge

A stormy start to the day kept us indoors but it cleared by lunchtime. We set off for Arnside to meet up with Lynne. The road along the estuary was almost submerged as we drove down so we had a walk along the Promenade and coast path. Pepper was very excited to see the waves surging over the path and bravely trotted off around the corner out of sight. Then she came bounding back dodging the swell!
Lynne wanted to show us her newly completed roof extension with a great view down to the water. The tales of the builders exploits were incredible but the end result is delightful. (See extra).
