Sweet Tradition

We celebrated St. Nicolas Day today. Every year our girls go to their Godmother and bake with her sweet pastries called Grattimann. You might as well call it a sweet tradition. Towards the end of the day, the family gathers together and eats them for supper with a cup of hot chocolate. While everyone is busy, St. Nicolas knocks on the door at which point the girls get scared, excited, curious....and are afraid to open the door. At which point, he leaves a bag full of goodies by the door.
