A Cozy Nest

Dear Diary,

I not only provide delicious meals at my back porch diner, it seems I am running a B&B in the barn!  One of the red squirrels has found a way in and constructed a nice little nest in a roll of rope made extra warm with some insulation!  I had to laugh at their inventiveness.  I did not see any one in residence but I will leave it be until the warm weather comes.  It isn't harming anything.

We had some wild wind yesterday and I was out of power for 9 hours but the trusty generator did its thing and all was fine.  High winds will continue today but I have to go to Portland for a poetry workshop.  At least the roads are clear.
