To London!

An early start for an early train south. I had a free first class ticket due to a five hour late train last summer. Despite first class, I didn’t enjoy it. It was very chatty (I’m used to the quiet coach) and the cooked breakfast wasn’t tasty. Still, it was free!

When I got in Tim was meeting his daughter for a birthday lunch so I walked around that cathedral of train stations, St Pancras. I then wandered over to Marylebone and from there walked, eventually, to Holborn and made my way further east.

Meeting up with Tim was great and he treated me to a delicious meal and night in.
