Rush Hour!

What a wonderful evening we had in the Hilton, it really is a beautiful hotel in which to stay. Looking onto the M8 is not the most scenic view in the world however there is something quite hypnotic about watching the constant ebb and flow of the traffic.

Breakfast really is my favourite meal of the day. I absolutely love it and the Hilton, in my humble opinion, put on one of the best breakfast buffets in Glasgow. I love to people watch at buffets. I think some people aim to eat their own body weight almost as if they are trying to claw back some of the outlay they had on their room. We were chatting to the waitress and told her we were staying to celebrate Jo's birthday and she brought over a glass of champagne, what a lovely touch - pity I was driving else I would have joined her.

I would hate to work in a hotel as the customers (some) seem to be a right royal pain. Yesterday in the leisure complex one lady was "VERY annoyed" because the changing rooms get busy and today at breakfast another guest was "Extremely disappointed" that they didn't have deeper bowls for cereal as she had to go up twice. Jings some people really do need to get a life!!!
