Roots

It’s been a lazy Saturday. We watched a movie this afternoon on the TV. Now waiting for the chili to heat up. Cornbread is made.

My sister has been looking through a notebook our dad’s cousin put together tracing back our family roots. Grandpa wrote some of his memories down as did others. I’ve read Grandpa’s parts before, but Joyce has more detail now going further back - to Ireland, Scotland and England as well as to the Cherokee tribe in the US. Tecumseh was a famous leader of the Cherokee in the early years of the USA.
