Did You Know?

Spent the afternoon at the King Arthur Flour Cafe with some good friends from Vermont.  The cafe/baking school is in Vermont just over the border from New Hampshire - it's the halfway point for us to meet.  The bonus was that their oldest son who was once Sumner's playmate is living a few miles from here met us and actually spent the whole afternoon with his partner.  Andrew recently graduated from MIT where he did his graduate and PhD in some kind of geophysical science.  Is now working his first real job doing research which he explained.   It's all about the math in determining the science behind climate change.  That's about as much as I could understand and remember.  The nice part is he was so down to earth and easy to talk to, did I mention all afternoon?  After lunch and chocolate chip cookies, Hot chocolate with homemade marshmallows was the highlight for all.
