Good Meal Out

It started of a hot day with 29c. By lunch time it cooled a little and was around 26c for most of the afternoon. 

We had a gathering with some of the neighbours at the Working Man's Club this afternoon. We have had a lot of trouble with a Housing NZ tenant across the road for the past year. At last things are happening for the good because of all with the hard work of some of the neighbourhood. 

When I say bad.. It has been terrifying at times. Now we have amaegurd Security parked outside from 8pm to 6am each day. We are told the house which was a lovely four bedroom place, is trashed. We had to call the police this afternoon as two teenagers climbed over the fence. Because the kids that group there, with the permission of the woman tenant, are under 16 the police can't do much. The 16 old son of the tenant is in prison. The other four younger child have been taken into care with family members. That all happened when I was in Canada. 


It is going to take months to repair the house and hopefully the next tenant will be much better. So today was a little bit of a celebration. Hopfully not short lived!
