Crop of cranes
A particularly rich crop of cranes greeted us when we got back from Northumberland, after a lovely stay with Munroist and Mr C. Life was a bit more of a faff than it should have been, as a result of which my plan to take a photograph across their valley got forgotten, so I've had to resort to a #balconystandard (#thestateofthatview). Our journey back to Edinburgh was very smooth, without either the driving rain/standing water or traffic of yesterday. I dropped Mr A at Edinburgh Napier for his scheduled OU tutorial and headed back here. A bit later, he texted me to say he was heading home as the tutorial was cancelled. Unfortunately, the tutor's train was cancelled and she was stranded in Lockerbie. The email had gone out at 8.28am - even if we had checked before leaving Northumberland it wouldn't have been there as we made an early start. But at least if we had known, we could have headed straight back here. A lesson to Mr A to check his emails more regularly when on the go.
The rest of the day was dull. Supermarket. Eating. Chilling. And then discovering that Mr A really does need a new passport because of Brexxxit related risks. We had an early night, as I had a bit of an accumulated sleep deficit and we had to get up early on Sunday as we have friends coming for lunch.
