A Day Off...!

This little fella is one of my favourite tree decorations. He got put up yesterday when we decorated the tree. My plan today was to finish off the decorating... mantlepiece, cards etc.

However, at just before 11 this morning, I received a text message from my children's school, saying there had been a power cut and they were having to shut the school. So all parents were being asked to collect their children immediately! Bang went all my plans for the day!

Amy and James were over the moon... an unexpected day off! In fact they were quite upset this afternoon when I received a message to say the school would reopen tomorrow... hurray!
