Abbey after dark

Lots of visible progress on the living room today - MrM and Jake put in the insulation (which will hopefully lessen the sound from downstairs as well as keeping in some heat) and laid all but a small piece of board. Glad that the project has reached this stage without anyone falling through any damage to the ceiling downstairs!

Vanessa and Daniel joined us for an evening meal, after which it was time to say goodbye to Jake. He's worked like a Trojan for the last fortnight, and it's been a pleasure having him to stay. While he started off on his journey home, MrM drove the rest of us to Kelso for 'Kelso Music Makers', where he played guitar with M and mandolin with L. An interesting mixed bag of music during the evening.

Finally, home for a whisky-tasting session...
