nos galan!

today was horrendous! ok over exaggeration, but i was so bored and sulking about it, i really thought i might cry! how terribly childish! anyway, when i got home i was greeted by a mysterious package...which was of course my race pack for nos galan! yippee! i remember a few years ago being out for lunch with the welshies in a pub in llanwynno (very beautiful up there if i remember rightly) and my uncle telling us the story of guto - i remember crying laughing, finding the story hard to believe - it probably had a lot to do with the way he told it...guto was a legendary runner from the valleys who apparently could run so fast he could catch a bird in flight! brilliant! and he once ran to ponty and back (7 miles) before the kettle boiled (we debated the size of this kettle!) and every year in the valleys they have a race on nye to celebrate this guy and his running achievements :-) this year i decided was the year to take part and most excitingly, my cousin, mum and little brother will also be taking part! i am completely overwhelmed that they are doing this and it really makes me smile!i do hope they enjoy it - mum has told me that i have to wait for her! teehee!
later at college i learnt that gordon (legend!) has organised a school trip for us to go and look at the lawn at old trafford! amazing! we will be learning about lawns after xmas so it is kinda relevent! not sure if many people have gardens the size of old trafford but nevermind, i am already giddy about the visit! the news did remind me of when a load of us snuck in on the stadium tour without paying and i spent the whole tour shitting myself that they were going to put us in the cells! tee hee! hopefully this trip will be less stressful! :-)
