Hawkcraig Point
This rocky outcrop has a fascinating history. Situated just past Aberdour in Fife, it was an Admiralty research station towards the end of the First World War. It was here that civilian and military scientists developed sonar recording techniques that were then used to detect U Boats travelling under water, attempting to attack British ships.
