Not the most straightforward route to Manchester... via York what with the west coast power lines having succumbed to Erik.

Anyhoo - tram out to Media City (it were just 'the Quays' in my day..), a bit of Imperial War Museum, wagamama and cinema (Glass - feel free to give it a miss unless you so loved McAvoy's turn in Split you just need more of it) and that was me and the boy done.
