North Berwick Swan

It was such a clear day that after church we took a picnic lunch down to North Berwick. The sand was busy with young families and dogs, but, unusually, there was a single mute swan swimming idly around the water's edge, sufficiently familiar with human propensity for offering food as it would follow anyone drawing close, whether with food or with a camera.
